Autumn Lakes

The city of Fairburn has quite a bit to offer its residents. The parks and recreation department has a number of youth athletic programs in basketball, baseball, football, cross country, and track & field. Its facilities include a pool, water slides, a huge splash pad, and a number of sports courts spread over four parks. The Fairburn Youth Center hosts the Fairburn Teen Empowerment group, Technology Tuesdays, and an after-school S.T.E.A.M. program. There are also outdoor fitness and yoga classes for adults. Fairburn is likely best known for being home to the popular Georgia Renaissance Festival, which runs several weeks in the spring and summer. On a much more modest scale, there are farmer’s markets in the summer and a Fall Festival held at Fairburn’s parks. For entertainment and shopping, residents head over to Fayetteville or Newnan where there are plenty of restaurants, movie theaters, and retail stores. Everyday errands, such as grocery shopping, are very easy to do in Downtown Fairburn and nearby Union City.
