Core Values
My work changes lives.
We are guiding people through one of the most important decisions of their life. We are helping people find a community and home that will bring them happiness and improve their lives. We are creating opportunity for our partner agents and fellow employees to succeed and grow.
The culture starts with me.
It begins on the inside. I make this a fun and enriching place to work and I create the environment I want to work in. If the culture does not meet my expectations, I am empowered to make a change.
Details matter.
Curiosity is a virtue. Seek. Understand. Be thorough. Expect the best from my teammates and myself in everything we produce.
Do the right thing.
We value authenticity, caring, and being good citizens. I make no decisions without first considering if my mother would approve.
Kaizen. No Compromizin’.
We believe in constant improvement and growth, personally and professionally. Every process in our business has opportunity to improve and I strive to make those changes.
If it is to be, it is up to me.
I’m smart, resourceful, and empowered to make it happen. I’m enthusiastic, persistent, not afraid to take risks and work harder and smarter than our competitors.
Application FAQ
You're not a robot, so your application isn't reviewed by one either! To make sure we find the right fit for the role, we (actual humans) review every submission. Sometimes this can take longer than anticipated, but rest assured, if your credentials meet the position requirements and the hiring team is interested in speaking to you, a team member will be in touch.
Both! Neighborhoods.com, LLC is the company that runs the consumer-facing websites neighborhoods.com and 55places.com. Most roles within our company impact both websites, because they are powered by similar technology and processes.
Yes! Our team is 100% remote and distributed around the United States. Employees are encouraged to work from wherever they need to in order to create an optimal work environment.
Each role has a different hiring timeline depending on the technicality and seniority of a position. The hiring process may be as rapid as three weeks, or could take three months. Your interviewer will lay out a timeline during your phone screen to set the proper expectations. If you did not get one during your phone screen then email careers@neighborhoods.com for an update.
In short, they don’t. Your answers are not visible by the hiring manager or the recruiter in conjunction with your application. The data we collect helps us understand who is applying for roles at Neighborhoods.com, and adjust our diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives appropriately.
At Neighborhoods.com, we want you to bring your whole self to work, and we mean that during the interview process, too. Show up in whatever makes you feel comfortable, but that your mom would also approve. Three piece suit? If that's your style. Jeans and a t-shirt? You'll find a lot of us rockin' that every day. All interviews are conducted over Zoom with cameras on.
We recommend checking out neighborhoods.com and 55places.com, our primary consumer-facing products. In some cases, we will ask you to complete a case study or technical exercise in advance of your interview. The exercise will help us understand your skill level and will not take more than an hour or two. Don’t worry, this won’t be for an open project within the organization––we’re not asking you to work for free!
Neighborhoods.com strives to create an equitable and inclusive experience for everyone. If there is something we can do to make your experience better, or if you need any accommodations throughout the interview process, please do not hesitate to ask.
Of course! We recognize that people have diverse backgrounds and skill sets that are applicable in a variety of positions, and encourage applicants to apply to all roles matching their skill set.
The choice of whether or not to share this information is up to you.
