Around Bellaire

A majority of Bellaire is dominated by individual subdivisions and single-family homes. Many of the residents in the area are married and almost half have children. When West University Place began to price out many budding families, Bellaire began to bloom. This means there are similarly sized homes but for a more affordable price - however the average home price is still above the Houston average. Most of the homes have sizable yards and plenty of room for families to grow.

While you may have to venture closer to the city limits for something unique, Bellaire has plenty of dining options for everyone and anyone. From food trucks gone brick-and-mortar to your favorite chains, your appetite won't go untouched here. Coffee lovers will be thrilled with the selection of cafes outside the main chains, and burger restaurants are in full force within the Bellaire neighborhood. There are also plenty of grocery stores in the area so you can cook up something delicious at home.

A decidedly suburban part of town, there aren't many wild and loud bars nearby. However, you may find yourself sipping wine and creating an art masterpiece at one of the BYOB painting studios around town. Travel closer to the Galleria and enjoy Dave and Busters arcade bar or take in the latest movie at the two theaters in the area.

Bellaire is known more for the nice homes and the Aquatic Center than it is for nightlife. However, you can find some bars and restaurants along Bissonnet St on the neighborhood's western boundary.

Sunday could be spent in your subdivision, going for a walk or having fun with your neighbors. There are also a few festivals that come to the Bellaire area, including the Houston Food Truck Festival. This exciting event allows people to sample all of the amazing food being cooked up on the Houston food truck scene. The Bellaire Town Square Aquatic Center gives families and children the chance to get out of the Texas sun and into a local swimming pool. With a splash pad and slides, it's a great way to cool down in the summer.
