A Guide to Las Vegas Street Festivals for 2018
It’s festival season in Las Vegas. That means, at any given moment, there are a ton of events with music, food, art, and culture passing through. There’s a good chance that no matter what neighborhood you’re in, there’s most likely some sort of festival happening near you on any given weekend. It can get overwhelming keeping up with all the dates and details, but luckily, Neighborhoods.com is here to help. Here’s a guide to the festival scene in Las Vegas.
April 26-29: Great American Foodie Fest
Henderson
Food, food, and more food. The Great American Foodie Fest is a massive food event showcasing a bunch of vendors and fantastic food trucks. The event is in Henderson over at Sunset Station and costs $10 for tickets or $8 for presale online.
April 28: Blues, Brews, and Barbecues
North Las Vegas
The Cannery Casino, east in Boulder Highway, will host this year’s Blues, Brews, and Barbecues Festival. It costs $10 for entry and guests can enjoy blues bands, beers from local and craft breweries, and barbecue from some of the best restaurants in the North Las Vegas area.
April 28: Margaritas & Tacos “The Experience”
Spring Valley
Nothing goes together quite like margaritas and tacos, and guests get to experience the best of both at Margaritas & Tacos “The Experience”. This event is hosted by The Gramercy, a luxury apartment and living community in the Spring Valley neighborhood. Tickets for this event are $40.
April 28-29: City of Lights Jazz Festival
Downtown Las Vegas
This jazz festival is a two-day music celebration with classic artists like Lyfe Jennings, Eric Benet, and Kem. This event will be held right in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas at the Clark County Government Amphitheater. Tickets start at $105.
May 5: Pet-a-Palooza
Sunset Park
Celebrate Cinco De Mayo with your pets over at Pet-a-Palooza. This event is pet-friendly and includes a variety of live music, food, and vendors. Guests can also adopt pets while they’re there. The event is at Sunset Park, east of The Strip, and it’s free to attend.
May 10-13 Vegas Uncork’d
The Strip
If you are a high-end culinary and wine enthusiast, this is the festival for you. Vegas Uncork’d will be spread out at six different venues on The Strip and will feature celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Giada De Laurentiis, and Bobby Flay. There will be a variety of VIP experiences, meet and greets, and tastings.
May 18-20: Electric Daisy Carnival
North Las Vegas
EDC is one of the most popular festivals in the city. This rowdy party celebrates all things related to electronic dance music. Guests who attend can enjoy the carnival and hear the most well-known EDM DJs in the world. This celebration lasts for three days, at the Motor Speedway in North Las Vegas.
May 19: Brews & Blues Festival
Springs Preserve
Come thirsty to the Brews and Blues Festival as this event will have a ton of regional, national, and international beers to try. There will also be great entertainment. Tickets for this event start at $35, and the festivities will be over at Springs Preserve, west of Downtown.
May 25-28: Punk Rock Bowling Festival
Downtown Las Vegas
Punk Rock Bowling is also another popular event that comes to Vegas every Memorial Day weekend. This event takes advantage of the long weekend and brings people together to celebrate punk rock. There’s music, bowling, comedy, art, and more. The festivities are held Downtown and ticket prices vary.
June 9: Reggae in the Desert
Downtown Las Vegas
Reggae in the Desert is a vast event of reggae music and the Caribbean lifestyle. There will be a beer garden, vendors selling arts and crafts, and a variety of Caribbean food on site. This event is also Downtown at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater.
July 12-15: Las Vegas Elvis Festival
Paradise
Elvis lovers, this event is for you. The Las Vegas Elvis Festival celebrates all things Elvis Presley with live music, impersonators, movies, and memorabilia. This will take place at Sam’s Town over on Boulder Highway just outside Paradise. Tickets can be purchased in bundles or separately for each individual event.
September 6-9: Big Blues Bender Festival
Downtown Las Vegas
The Big Blues Bender is Downtown at the Plaza Hotel. This festival is spread out on a couple of stages down at Fremont Street, and attendees can enjoy a variety of blues artists. Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Marcia Ball, and the Cedric Burnside Project will all be performing. This event usually sells out, so it’s best to purchase tickets as early as possible. This event has a variety of packages—with add-ons like hotel rooms and all-you-can-drink passes—and prices begin at $500.
September 12-16: San Gennaro Feast
North Las Vegas
The San Gennaro Feast usually rolls through town in May and September, but since the event recently ran into some problems, it will only be here in September this year. This event is a massive Italian food festival where attendees can eat, listen to music, drink, and ride carnival rides.
September 14-16: Greek Food Festival
Spring Valley
Located at the St. John The Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in the Spring Valley neighborhood, The Greek Food Festival comes together to celebrate all things related to the Greek culture. This three-day party has music, raffles, rides, vendors, and of course, a variety of authentic Greek food to taste.
September 21-23: Life is Beautiful Festival
Downtown Las Vegas
Life is Beautiful is another hugely popular music and arts festival that rolls through Vegas every September. This is another Downtown event that usually sells out very fast. Tons of mainstream artists perform for this event every year. This year’s lineup will be announced on April 24.
September TBA: Bite of Las Vegas
Spring Valley
Although the date hasn’t been announced yet for 2018, Bite of Las Vegas will take place sometime at the end of summer. This event is put on by Mix 94.1, like Pet-a-Palooza, and features a variety of food vendors and music artists. The event usually takes place in Spring Valley at Desert Breeze Park.
October 13-14: Festival of Arts
Summerlin
Over in Summerlin, this free outdoor festival includes food, entertainment, and variety of events related to the art world. There are an array of exhibits available to view and over a hundred artists will have items for sale. This event will be at the Downtown Summerlin outdoor shopping district.
October 20-21: Las Vegas Pride Festival
Sunset Park
This is another event over at Sunset Park, east of The Strip, where guests celebrate diversity and all things LGBTQ related. Pride includes performances, a parade, and tons of exhibits. This year’s festivities will also be pet-friendly. The price for this event is $15 daily, and $20 for the weekend.
