Apple's New Content Headquarters Might Be at Culver Studios
According to The Real Deal, there have been whispers about Apple moving their production headquarters to Culver Studio in Culver City.
The company made it clear earlier this year that they would be investing $1 billion into original content and even hired former Sony presidents Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg to lead the new division. However, there’s still some speculation over whether the tech giant will move to Culver City or opt for Tower Theater in Downtown Los Angeles.
Moving to Culver Studios would make sense for Apple since the site is only a few minutes drive away from Beats’ headquarters. Not to mention, the production location comes equipped with 13 television and film sound stages.
Over the past few years, more tech corporations — including Snapchat, YouTube, Buzzfeed, and Facebook — have made their way over to Los Angeles’ west side and opened offices in the region. Residents account the area’s rapid gentrification and rise in home prices to the recent influx of tech hubs in Playa Vista, Venice, and Marina del Rey, which is now often referred to as “Silicon Beach.”
