DNAInfo reports construction is slated to begin this month on a $20 million boutique hotel in Hyde Park.

Olympia Companies and Smart Hotels are planning a seven-story, 90-room hotel at 1401 E. 53rd St. The hotel will have a ground-floor restaurant and lounge. It’s scheduled to open in spring 2018.

In regards to how this could affect the neighborhood, the hotel is expected to employ 55 people. It’s also planning to provide valet parking to immediate neighbors of the hotel.

The hotel is just waiting for building permits in order to proceed.
