Per SocketSite, Oakland’s Brooklyn Basin mixed-use project has revealed its first two building designs.

The 64-acre development cleared and leveled by Signature Development Group is near Oakland’s Chinatown and Clinton neighborhoods. Last year the first building design of the 10-plus building project was revealed

The second building design, which was crafted by Studio T Square, sits between 8th and 9th Ave. and will rise to 86 feet in height. Inside, plans call for 241 apartments, a little over 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space, 7,000 square feet of resident amenity space, and a podium garage with 240 parking spaces. A 14,000-square-foot podium terrace with pool is also included and looks out over the waterfront.

The Brooklyn Basin project overall will yield 200,000 square feet in retail and commercial space, 3,100 housing units, and 30 acres of open space on the waterfront. There currently isn’t a completion date as developers and architects are taking it building-by-building to re-create Oakland’s marina.
