Cabo-Inspired Lagoon Coming to Windsong Ranch in Prosper
With countless housing developments in North Texas, it takes something special to stand out among the competition. According to recent stories in the Dallas Morning News and the Dallas Business Journal, the Windsong Ranch development in Prosper will feature a Cabo-inspired lagoon for residents.
The man-made freshwater lagoon will be the centerpiece of Windsong Ranch. Upon completion, the 2,030-square-foot master planned community along U.S. 380 near the Dallas North Tollway will be a retreat from the city. The lagoon will create a beach-like vibe in the landlocked area of North Texas.
Terra Verde Group plans to begin construction soon on the five-acre lagoon at Windsong Ranch, which will also feature white sandy beaches. Construction on the lagoon is expected to begin this winter, which is scheduled for completion by spring 2019.
The lagoon technology uses up to 100 times fewer chemicals than traditional swimming pools, while consuming only 2 percent as much energy as standard filtration systems.
Crystal Lagoons is offering a waterpark as a new amenity in Texas developments. The now-delayed Bayside mixed-use development in Rowlett will also feature a Crystal Lagoons resort-style waterpark with fountains. The Rowlett lagoon will be eight acres, larger than the one at Prosper.
"By the end of the year we expect to have five projects signed in Texas," Christopher Souza, Crystal Lagoons' Regional Director, told the Dallas Morning News. "We've seen a huge interest in Houston and Dallas."
