A new active adult community is coming to Tradition, a master-planned community in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Retirement community builder Del Webb will construct 550 homes on a 205-acre site acquired by homebuilder PulteGroup, Treasure Coast News reports.

Del Webb's first active adult community in the area, the company says sales and construction at Tradition will begin soon and will set up a temporary sales office on Town Center Boulevard near Tradition Square. The 55-plus builder is known for its communities' rich amenities and Tradition will be no different, with the community offering a clubhouse, fitness facility, trails, and tennis, bocce ball, and pickleball courts. An on-site lifestyle director will coordinate activities for residents.

The community will take shape in the Southern Groves section of Tradition, which is near the site where Keiser University is building a new campus. Tradition Medical Center is also expanding nearby and is scheduled to be complete in 2018.
