Lake Pleasant Heights is a master planned development located northern Peoria, Arizona. Encompassing 3,268 acres at the base of the Hieroglyphic Mountain Range, it sits just southwest of Lake Pleasant and next door to the 7,100 Vistancia master planned community. Once completed, it will contain at least three parks, three mixed-use centers with retail and commercial space, a fire department, and two elementary schools.

But you can’t have any of that if you don’t have homes for people to live in. Avanti Properties Group and Voyager Investment Properties will see about that now that their joint venture has purchased 1,086 acres for $35 million.

The community, which is expected to be built in three phases, is approved for up to 2,800 homes altogether. It’s currently unclear how many of those homes will be built on the property just purchased. The first phase will be located just south of the Central Arizona Project and Carefree Highway.

Plans to include a golf course and resort were scuttled and open space on the acreage was increased instead.
