The food scene at the popular San Francisco tourist destination Fisherman’s Wharf is looking a lot different than it did just weeks ago. The animatronic-heavy Rainforest Cafe beloved by tourists recently announced that it is closing its doors after 15 years. Floating restaurant Forbes Island also shuttered permanently back in August. Now, national seafood chain Joe’s Crab Shack will also be leaving its post in the Wharf after 12 years.

According to SF Eater, the San Francisco location of Joe’s Crab Shack was one of 60 across the country but this particular location had its fair share of obstacles. The restaurant was sued in 2013 for labor violations after employees alleged management was not giving them legally mandated breaks, was forcing them to purchase their own uniforms, and was refusing to give them access to health insurance accounts. Also in 2013, an employee found several pounds of marijuana in the restaurant’s dumpster.

With three well-known restaurants leaving a popular tourist destination in the span of just a couple months, it remains to be seen what might take their place and what impact that could have on the tourist spot.
