KB Home has announced that they've opened the doors on models for River Village, their newest solar community in the San Diego suburb of Santee.

The plan is to construct 82 homes consisting of three different floor plans, one of which will be one-story and the other two as two-stories. The homes will range from 2,210 to 2,850 square feet and include three to six bedrooms. Design options in the homes includes great rooms, flex spaces, covered patios, and storage space.

While all KB Home residences include energy-efficient features, River Village homes will include a 2.0 kW solar system standard. Combined with water-conserving features, such as the WaterSense® faucets and fixtures, these houses are expected to save owners a lot on utilities.

Prices for River Village homes range between $667,990 and $695,990.

An ideal commuter home base, River Village is also very close to schools as well as shopping, and dining options. Nearby nature trails  and proximity to Lake Jennings, Lake Murray, and Padre Dam Park make it a good location for outdoor living as well.

River Village's sales center and model homes are located at 10707 Braverman Drive in Santee.
