Luxury Net-Zero Energy Scottsdale Townhomes Under Development
Real estate investment firm Caliber and Modus Development are partnering up for the second time on a net-zero energy residential project. This one is called Eclipse and the townhome community is currently under construction, according to Builder Online.
The gated, 20-unit development is located on Granite Reef Road just south of McDowell Road in Scottsdale and is expected to be completed in December.
The community is designed to meet DOE Zero Energy Ready requirements with each unit individually energy modeled. Apple and Google home automation will include features such as virtual assistants with an Automation package for lighting, blinds, garage door and sound. The High SEER rating Heating and Cooling system will complement the use of Daylighting (designs incorporating glass to eliminate the need for lighting during the day).
Two- and three-bedroom units range from 1,800 to 2,000 square feet, and all homes offer two-car garages with an electric vehicle charging station. Units will feature European finishes, private balconies, and concrete floors.
The three buildings that make up the development incorporate a circular format influenced by The Guggenheim in New York City and the David and Gladys Wright House in Phoenix. Townhomes in the 1.46-acre development start in the $400,000s and increase with premium package options.
Caliber and Modus previously worked together on The Roosevelt in downtown Tempe, which is also a net-zero energy residential community.
