Craig Ranch, McKinney’s booming 2,200-acre mixed-use development, will soon be home to McKinney Methodist Hospital’s newest surgery center according to the Dallas Morning News.

Located at 6045 Alma Road, the Methodist Craig Ranch Surgery Center is setting up shop in an existing 27,000 square-foot facility, which was previously part of the Victory Medical Center Craig Ranch. In addition to seven operating rooms, the center contains four private rooms to accommodate overnight stays. And it will begin accepting patients in November.

"The demand was here for more surgical capability because of the population growth in this area. If you are a healthy person who needs surgery, we are who you want to go to in Collin County," Joe Minissale, president of McKinney Methodist Hospital, said in a statement.

The Craig Ranch facility will be McKinney Methodist Hospital’s third surgery center, and it will be a partnership between the Methodist Health System, NueHealth, and local physicians.

Craig Ranch, with a residential population of about 25,000 people, has become a magnet for attracting quality businesses.

Earlier this year, the City of McKinney gave the green light for construction of a new resort hotel and conference center in the development. And less than a month ago, Independent Bank Group purchased a 10-acre site on State Highway 121 for its new headquarters, which can eventually employ more than 1,000 workers.
