Meritage, Richmond Buy Up Tucson Home Lots to Keep up With Demand
Real Estate Daily News is reporting that two major builders have acquired more land in order to keep up with the steady housing demand of Northwest and South Tucson.
The master-planned community La Estancia offers ease of access to Interstate 10 and proximity to the city’s prominent employment centers. The prime location was one of the reasons Meritage Homes scooped up 195 lots in the summer of 2016. With the first phase almost complete, the builder just bought another 142 lots for $6.25 million.
Offering homes starting at $230,900, these floorplans range from 1,612 to 2,917 square feet and include as many as four bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths. Residences can be purchased in both single and two-story plans. The neighborhood includes a community pool and is part of the acclaimed Vail School District.
On the northwest corner of Dove Mountain Boulevard and Boulder Bridge Pass in Marana, Richmond American will soon begin development on Bridge Pass II in Dove Mountain after acquiring 98 lots for $6.8 million. This purchase joins the 1,267 lots already purchased around the Tucson Metro area this year by Richmond. Specific home designs and community layout are still TBD.
