Spotlight on Connerton Master-Planned Community
Connerton is a sprawling community located in Land O’ Lakes, FL. Just north of Tampa, which is the closest metropolitan city, this “mini city” provides residents with access to fitness areas, a school, a 3,000-acre nature preserve, and a wide array of homes.
The community offers a little bit of everything, making it attractive to all kinds of homebuyers. There are schools, miles of hiking and biking trails, as well as an array of indoor and outdoor gathering places. Some of the amenities include an amazing 10,000 square-foot clubhouse, a water park, and tennis and basketball courts.
There’s something to fit every lifestyle. Perhaps one of the best features of the community is that there are so many tree-filled parks and wide open spaces. There’s a 3,000-acre nature preserve with boardwalks and pathways, perfect for jogs and bike rides. Connerton also offers plenty of home types in order to accommodate everyone’s needs. The community, which opened in 2006, is home to five homebuilders that include Homes by West Bay, Lennar, M/I Homes, Ryland Homes, and Taylor Morrison.
The single-family homes come in various sizes. Many have two-car garages as well as front porches and back patios to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor living that makes Florida such a desirable place to live.
The community also provides incentives for military families as it is only 30 miles north of MacDill Air Force Base. Active and retired military families will be able to take advantage of a special military program that each builder offers.

The Connerton community has also won various awards. It is part of the 2017 Parade of Homes showcase, which is presented by the Tampa Bay Builders Association. It is evidence that the community is focused on the latest trends and on offering beautiful landscaping and new home construction. The community has also won Parade of Homes awards every year, including multiple in 2014, with Ryland Homes’ Frost II Model and Taylor Morrison’s Kentwood III model receiving awards.
