According to Times of San Diego, the Douglas Wilson Cos. development company is proceeding with plans for Sweetwater Vistas, a project in Spring Valley that includes 218 entry-level townhomes. Approved by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors last week, the 52-acre property will offer homes on 28 acres of open space, and feature three home styles.

“We believe this is one of the largest projects of its kind in San Diego County, where multi-family, for-sale homes will be available in the low $400,000s,” said Douglas P. Wilson, chairman and CEO of the Douglas Wilson Cos.

The plan will also include the preservation of 29 acres surrounding Hansen’s Creek.

“For the last three years, we’ve worked with the community group and government agencies to re-envision the highest and best use for this property, creating a plan for desperately needed, moderately priced housing,” Wilson said.

The project is located at Jamacha and Sweetwater Springs boulevards, near the Sweetwater Reservoir.
