The Downtown Phoenix Journal is reporting on an impressive accolade for Phoenix architecture firm Studio Ma. They won a 2017 Builder’s Choice & Custom Home Design Grand Award for their work on residential development artHaus. 

Located in Midtown Phoenix, the development was chosen as the winner in the multifamily and mixed-use category. The jury based their decision on the design’s “simple, bold forms and its configuration of townhomes, lofts, and flats ranging from 560 to 1900 square feet.” 

The architecture is highlighted around interconnected, semi-private resident courtyards consisting of seven three-level townhomes, 15 two-level lofts, and three single-level flats. The design encompasses sustainable and energy-efficient features with a roof-top solar system powerful enough to cover 100 percent of the community’s power demands. An enclosed garage offers electric vehicle charging stations as well. 

Around 70 percent of the units have already sold, but remaining units range in price between $254,000 and $511,000.
