The working-class Lower West Side neighborhood of Pilsen is seeing a lot of development and changing demographics. More development is planned for the neighborhood after a vacant lot was rezoned to make way for townhomes, Chicago Cityscape reports.

The Chicago City Council recently approved the zoning change for the 30-foot building that will include 34 townhomes and 68 parking spaces. Designed by Vari architects, the townhomes will go up at 2530-2538 S. Blue Island Ave. Details are scarce beyond that.

The upcoming Paseo Trail, a project that plans to turn old train tracks into a recreational trail, will pass the development.
