Easter is coming quickly to Houston, and that means plenty of Easter activities that are perfect for families. With as big as the city is though, it can be hard to know what part of town is hosting an activity. If you’re looking for someplace to celebrate Easter, then check out the following events that are happening all across town.

The Easter Bunny at Memorial City Mall - Memorial

Through April 1, the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance at Memorial City Mall in Memorial. This is a great chance for families to get together and have their photos taken with the friendly creature. Until Easter, you can find him standing by the Xfinitiy Fireplace. Although the hours change slightly on Sundays, you’ll generally be able to find him up until 8 p.m.

Afterward, you can stick around the area and enjoy some of the many activities that Memorial City Mall offers. With a large movie theater, multiple restaurants, and plenty of stores to visit, this can make for a full day out that’s fun for the entire family.

Art Mix Easter Break Camp - Upper Kirby

If you feel like indulging your child’s creative side during the Easter weekend, then you might want to think about sending them to Art Mix. Art Mix gives kids a chance to come together, develop their motor skills, and learn about art history. They also get to practice a number of art methods, like drawing, painting, and sculpting. Art Mix will be offering day camps from March 30 through to April 2, providing plenty of chances for kids up to 12-years-old to participate. The Art Mix Creative Learning Center is located in Upper Kirby, placing your kids in the heart of Houston.

If you’re ready to hit the coast and enjoy Easter on the bay, then head on over to Kemah and enjoy Easter at the Kemah Boardwalk. On March 30 and 31, families can decorate Easter Eggs, enjoy snacks, take pictures with the Easter Bunny, and send their kids on an Easter Egg hunt.

While you’re on the boardwalk, you can head over to any of the restaurants that line the Boardwalk and enjoy some fresh seafood from the coast. You can also enjoy any one of the many boardwalk games or jump on one of the carnival rides.

An Old-Fashioned Easter - Richmond

If you’re a history lover, then it’s time to head out of the metro area a little bit and over to the George Ranch Historical Park. Located in suburban Richmond, the George Ranch Historical Park traditionally features homes from numerous periods in Houston history that guests can visit.

For Easter, guests will be treated to special events that include a basket egg toss, creating period accurate egg dolls, and the making of a Victorian Easter card. Guests will still visit the many historic houses on the property and end the day with both an Easter Egg hunt and the Historic Easter Lunch.
