HotSpot Rentals “used data to determine street cred,” and named Wynwood one of its 25 “Hottest Hoods” in America

With a composite score of 76 out of 100 available points, Wynwood ranked 15th overall on the list, which analyzed walkability, transit, budget, entertainment, lifestyle, and weather to determine rankings. Within these dimensions, the artsy neighborhood received high marks in walkability with 88, followed by a score of 83 for lifestyle. The budget category received an 74 while transit received a 71.

South Florida’s perennially sunny, warm weather gave the neighborhood its highest marks, scoring an 89. Conversely, despite popular attractions like Wynwood Walls and a monthly Saturday Art Walk, Wynwood garnered low marks for its entertainment, receiving just 43 points.

New projects, however, may help improve that entertainment score.

Work has commenced on Wynwood Walk, a 63,000-square-foot retail project aiming to bring new retail and restaurant spaces, plus a large, green rooftop space with outdoor seating. Additionally, a two-acre city block is for sale in the neighborhood, and Wynwood Park is on the way.
