But if you are staying within the city center or along the coast then you can take public transportation like buses from the Metropolitan Transit System or the sprinter, which is the city's newest light rail train system that connects Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, and Escondido. The San Diego Trolley and Old Town Trolley are also available to transport residents and tourists to the city's best attractions and downtown hotspots. The city is also home to the San Diego International Airport, offering nonstop flights to many local and international destinations.
