Leland High School

I think this school is the most academic school in this areas.

Stats lie, if you're moving to the area for Leland, go somewhere else. The culture is toxic among students, with those who aren't perfect being made fun of and left behind. A 4.0 isn't exceptional here, it's the norm, and if you're any less than that you're considered less than. Mental health issues are a dime a dozen, with anxiety and depression plaguing the student body. If I could go back in time and go somewhere else, I absolutely would.

My child joined this school after a year in a private school. I was pleasantly surprised to find excellent teachers, nice students, and overall great atmosphere in this school. Granted, it is a public high school and in every and each high school (even private) there will be age related problems, like drugs, etc. However, if your family values are strong and you are connected with your child, he or she will not get into trouble. So many good and driven kids, so many dedicated teachers!

If you go to that school, good luck because they do not have all of the courses you want to take on your level.
