Around Canoe Club

Canoe Club is named for its unique amenities. There are two lakes within the community that are ideal for canoeing and fishing, so it features its own dock and canoe storage facility. Canoe Club is not solely about canoeing, however. The centerpiece of its amenities park is its 5,500-square-foot clubhouse called the Lake Cottage. It's a great place to host events thanks to its catering kitchen, coffee bar, and wonderful sunroom. It's also home to the community's 24-hour fitness center. Just behind the cottage is a junior-olympic swimming pool with plenty of deck space for sunbathing and socializing. The community is served by the Fayette County School District. It has been recognized as one of the top 20 school districts in the state. Cleveland Elementary and Bennett's Mill Middle School are across the road from Canoe Club's entrance. Fayette County High School is about a 10-12 minute drive.

Fayette County and Fayetteville have a lot going on. The county's park district offers a full menu of organized sports for youth and adults. All of the major sports are represented, including rowing, cheerleading, and track. It also organizes adult day trips, a myriad of classes for all ages, and fitness programs including yoga and karate. Fayetteville's Southern Ground Amphitheater plays host to a summer concert series as well local and national acts annually. Fayetteville and surrounding communities present numerous seasonal and holiday festivities, farmers markets, and fairs.
