Around Downtown Scottsdale
Scottsdale's Downtown neighborhood is bordered on the north by Chaparral Road and the waterfront on the south, where it shares a border with Old Town. There are lovely residential homes with fruit trees in the backyards as well as condominium communities, which are dotted throughout the neighborhood. Farther north up Scottsdale Road is where you'll find more land, schools, and parks.
Scottsdale's waterfront boasts great restaurants that serve up all kinds of cuisines ranging from fresh seafood to steakhouses, all within minutes from Fashion Square. Big, noisy, and fun restaurants have live music every night of the week and share customers with smaller, hipper eateries and upscale local chains. Traditional Scottsdale favorites like The Mint and Don & Charlie's are always popular options for a night out.
Lots of people parking and shopping at Fashion Square. This magnificent city mall still attracts the bright and beautiful in Scottsdale, where luxury stores share mall space with teen accessory outlets. From department to electronic stores, Fashion Square is a place to eat, shop, and be seen. Downtown also has an art walk every Thursday and an annual holiday festival
You can't beat drinks on a Friday evening at the Fire Sky Resort, which is located a few streets north of Fashion Square on Scottsdale Road. Its back bar near the pool is enchanting. Afterwards, head on to the Downtown party district to see live music venues or visit a sports bar to watch your favorite teams.
When the weather's great (and it usually is between November and May), the Scottsdale Civic Center mall in Downtown is the place to be where residents can attend an outdoor art fair or tasting events. In recent years, the Civic Center has hosted the Canned Craft Beer festival, the Taste of Scottsdale, and many other events during the prime tourist season.
