I don’t know what is going on over there. The entire year has been an academic disaster from a with my child who has been said to be above average smart. His grades have been the worst since he has been in this school. I assumed a 9/10 greater school would be a good match for him, but apparently it’s not.The kids are not being closely monitored and the teachers are dismissive with antagonizing students. My 2nd child always complaining her teacher never picks her when she raises her hand, she complains her teacher is always shushing her and looks at her in a bad way,she complains her teacher has nothing but bad things to say about her, she complains no one plays with her in the play ground, she complains the work is too easy in class and she’s always bored; daily complaints since she’s been there. It sounds like the teachers doesn’t give a damn about my kids and we don’t appreciate this type of dismissiveness. The amount of homework my child gets every Monday is obsurd and unrealistic and below level for Kinder and the library books are so two years ago. Her bookbag looks likes she’s carrying a large Tv on her back; their bones are still soft at 6 years of age. It’s not healthy for her spine. It just seems that these teachers inside the classrooms don’t really gives a damn about my kids and we are not happy with our kids stay at this school. It seems testing is more important for the school than the quality of teaching and engaging. The teachers do not reflect the quality of the school and it’s assistant principle. The Assistnat Principle is the only decent person there. What is the staff doing to help my son be academically successful? Nothing. My other child loved school and she doesn’t even wanna go anymore because she has nothing to look forward to. She was crying this morning because she’s tired of the same thing; nothing but negative feedback and then my comes home with nothing and negative feedback as well. I’m so done with HGE. It’s pretty on the outside, but a whole different ballgame on the inside. Aside from the fact they try to diagnose all kids with Adhd because it’s the new thing in Hialeah to get funding. It’s sick.
Both of my daughters have attended here. My oldest is now a senior and attended since pre-k-5th grade. She still reminisces and takes pride in how amazing her elementary years were thanks to the amazing teachers, staff and administration. My youngest is now a 4th grader at HGE and loves waking up everyday to go to school. I can't wait until my 3 year old also joins the HGE family. This school is more than just a school it is HOME to these kids where safety is of the utmost priority for administration. I always feel so safe when my daughter is dropped off at school. The teachers go above and beyond as well for education purposes and to really get to know their children. Thank you HGE for being so amazing and for being a part of my children's most essential part of growing up--their first forever memories!Forever grateful, The Ramirez Family!
