Foxhall has just a few small restaurants, including the casual sandwich institution Jetties, but for more dining options locals head to neighboring Georgetown. Anchored by M Street, the neighborhood's dining corridor offers a wide variety of ethnic cuisine, casual eateries, and bustling hotspots. Whether looking for a family-friendly, quiet restaurant, or a loud, fun spot that turns into a bar after 10, Georgetown has it all.
Due to its proximity to Georgetown University, many of the residents are undergraduate or graduate students who rent a townhouse together. However, there are also many families, middle-aged residents who work in the city, and retired residents. In general, the residents are wealthy, as the property prices are higher in the neighborhood compared to other parts of D.C.
Head over to the Georgetown's main thoroughfare for an exciting Friday night. M Street has an endless array of shopping options, with almost every name-brand clothing store represented in the area. Besides shopping, Georgetown has several restaurants, a movie theater, and a great view of the waterfront. For late-night activities, there are some popular, laid back bars in the area, and also a few hookah lounges.
Go for a morning jog along the Foxhall's safe roads and stop by one of the area's greenspaces to watch a local soccer game.
