I moved my kids here not knowing anyone and for any parent that would cause worry but Callaway had been a relief it's truly a great school

This is my son's first year in a public school. He attended Montessori since age 3. I have been highly disappointed with this school in multiple ways. The staff was very disorganized from day one. They "lost" my son's registration by stapling it to another students paperwork and we were forced to late register. When we arrived on the first day of school (no sooner was allowed) we spent over an hour getting him registered and then we were questioned repeatedly upon taking him to him classroom. His teacher was very rude and would not even say welcome. My son is a car rider and we spend nearly 30 minutes in line in the morning, not sure what the issue is there. The teacher my son has been assigned has been unwilling to work with us and avoids questions when asked directly. We are changing schools next year. Very unhappy.

This is my sons first year in school. The transition to school was great thanks to the great staff and his teacher. My son is in kindergarten and I was so nervous leaving him the first couple of weeks. His teach mrs. Traylor is awesome and very involved in the children's learning process. The bus drivers are so nice and makes sure the kids get home safe and in a timely fashion. I look forward to spending many years at this school.

I love this school. My daughter attended Kindergarten here. The staff is very professional and dress according. The children have multiple options for lunch and the breakfast is free to all children (2011-12). The ACE Program is also available to those needing after school care. The children receive a great amount of time in the gym, art class and the library. Every visit has been very welcoming from the front office assistants all the way down to the janitors. My daughters' teacher (Mrs.Traylor) was amazing. She had the ability to work with each child and adjust to their different personalities. This school also has a school nurse on site. The things I loved most about this school is that it is very multi-racial and they take education very serious. The only thing I would recommend the school change is the parent techer communication. They send alot of papers home for different programs and classroom events. I think parent emails should be sent to those who have a preference for that.
