One of the best schools I have ever been to

This school looks pretty good on paper because of the demographics and socioeconomic status of the student body. I do not believe it is an emotionally healthy environment, and I strongly believe that many of the teachers have lost their love for children and their effectiveness as educators. If I could turn back time, I would make a better choice. My kids were not prepared for high school, and their self esteems suffered while they attended Madras. I know the middle school years are rough, but it was beyond that. I always supported the teachers, and I now wish I'd been a better advocate for my children instead. Parents, LISTEN to your kids and trust your gut. If a child who has always loved school and done well begins to hate school and struggle, make a change.

I am a student at Madras Middle, and it has been nothing but encouraging and heart changing. Ever since the first day I felt at home, Madras has just set a warm, welcoming environment. The teachers are very striving, they always work hard to make sure their students succeed and understand each and every topic. They are always open to questions from parents and students, and always try to respond in a timely manner. The school is very strict on their bullying policy, bullying is simply not aloud no matter what situation. It is never ok to mistreat others by what they cannot control, what they are able to afford, or simply because you are having a bad day. No matter what situation bullying is never the option. Madras always leads by example, and has helped me realize the true meaning to RISE R(respect) I(integrity) S(safety) E(empathy), as long as you can commit to these 4 core values everything will be easier and the world will become better one person at a time. I recommend Madras to all, I really enjoy coming to school everyday, its as though learning has become a time to progress academic wise and as a person.
