Smokey Road Middle School

With an average student, this school has been a good experience, but for my child with a disability, it has been a complete nightmare. Children with disabilities are thrown into regular ed classooms with teachers having little to no training on how to handle behaviors for specific disabilities. This is not inclusion, it is a complete nightmare with unrealistic expectations for students with disabilities to act and perform at the same level of regular education students.

It was good. The teachers are very concerned about the students and show they really care. The school is very welcoming and they DO NOT tolerate bullying. I would say any bad things said about this school is not recent because my child just got out of this school. There is plenty room for opportunity and teachers have goals that they have their students go beyond. Although this is great school,what can make people turn their heads are the facts that most students have no respect for their authorities but that is not the faculty's fault that would be on the parents.This school is great and I hope you look forward to your children going there.

Smokey Road is one of the most terrible schools I have ever had my children in. They have a problem with bullying by students and TEACHERS and no one cares enough to do anything about it. My son was told to TELL an adult if someone was bullying him. One teacher told him to write it down on a note and give it to her. The school year is nearly over and after several several notes written they are still bullying him. One of the 6th grade teachers uses intimidation and hateful language to be little the students. What kind of example is that for our children who NEED their education and have no choice but to attend this school. Anyone thinking about moving to the Smokey Road school district should really really consider a different area.

This so is horrible.The Staff is great but the Principal is an hoe. She Slept with an other Principal in her office she should got fired.Laurie Barron.
