My daughter had a problem with a bully and once it was brought to the attention of the faculty it was handled immediately. Now I have three other children in the school that are my foster children.I really have to keep up with there grades to make sure they stay on track. Pelham and it's teachers have been wonderful with being patient with our situations. Wouldn't prefer any other school for my children. Thanks,Deidra Apeler
Much needed changes in place with teachers moving on...I agree that bad teaching was present but slowly getting better
Terrible school! I asked them to verify who picks my child up from school. I'm promised by the principal that this will be done and it hasn't been. I'm told I'm assuming someone will pickup my child that shouldn't ,and I'm being overly concerned, its not something he need to worry with because they've never had a kidnapping. Well they happen all the time especially in my circumstance as a single parent. Also my child has been sick this year, we have Dr notes , the school themselves have sent my child home sick. They had me sign an initial contact once reading it I told them the contract was unfair...saying I had to bring my child to school even if she was sick so they could determine for themselves if my child was sick ( I wasn't aware they were medical professionals). And when you bring sick child to school they call you right away to come back and pick the child up and hold the day against you..unexcused. i must attend a MAST hearing based on them saying i broke original contract that they told me to tear up. Simple my child has been sick for each one of her absences and I'm treated as a criminal. The principal will talk down to you use threatening remarks and tones toward you.
I am a parent of a child that attends PES. I have had constant troubles with teachers telling the children to shut up. I've had problems getting the Principal to talk to me , I had to go to the board of education twice the head man at the board of education had to call the principal and make him call me. Im currently dealing with the fact that my child has been out sick with excuses and papers under a doctors care and now have to go to a MAST metting at the Grand Jury Court Feb. 23 2012. On top of that they have released my childs information to people not authorized with is a violation to our privacy rights. They have also let some one pick my child up that had no authorization to do so. I went to get her from school she wasn't there they didn't know the man that picked her up they said she said it was her grandpa after and hour and a half I found my child with a relative after franticially searching the scholl for her. I do not what so ever reccomend this school. Theres to much sickness there to begin with and teachers that shoulnd't be teaching and pricipal that doesn't care to hear what the parents have to say..this is this worest school I have seen .
