Huntington Middle School

Horrible!!! I would never promote this school to anyone. Extreme bullying as well as the administration. They cover for each other and refuse to help kids that are bullied or failing. My kids went straight to Christian schools due to this school! Be ware all parents!! Listen to your kids and fight for them. This is not a safe school!!!

The school failed to follow procedure when a loaded firearm was brought to the school. The school also failed to notify parents. Parents found out about the incident either through the local news, 3 weeks afterwards or from their student. In our case, the student carrying the firearm sat right next to our child. The school failed to address a group of children that were repeatedly bringing lighters and firecrackers onto school grounds, to throw at the other students walking home after school. When it was addressed, they named the child that brought it to their attention; ultimately putting a target on that child's back. The school failed to follow procedure when another student repeatedly stabbed our child with a pencil. They did nothing to prevent it from happening again and the bullying continued. They claim to promote parent/teacher involvement but their actions prove otherwise. This school has a lot of potential but is lacking serious leadership.
