When we were shopping for a home at Heritage, we looked at over 20 houses in a period of weeks. Many were not our style or didn’t meet our needs, but all were very clean, most had various updates, and we never saw any which weren’t well maintained.
We have lived here going on 3 years and have loved every moment. Our house was just what we wanted. It has nice new wood floors, and we couldn’t be happier. But, even more, we enjoy all the people, the many activities, the great restaurant as well as the casual Outpost. The neighbors are open & friendly; the streets quiet and free from cars everywhere. The newly remodeled fitness room is top notch. I could mention many more positive aspects, but there isn’t space.
Beautiful community with lovely landscaped homes and friendly people. We were warmly greeted everywhere we went. We had a nice meal in the restaurant -- food was very good and service was great!
The community is warm and inviting. The country club is great, although aged and needs an update including the furniture.
What is troubling is the homes there. We looked at about 17 houses for sale. All of them required updating. The biggest issue was mold and mildew outside the homes. Just go outside and look at the homers there and you'll see. Some of the homes had broken chimneys, rotten or in really bad shape. One home had a Patio concrete area sliding away from the home. Foundation issues, roof shingles that were not replaced when they had a hail storm last time, driveway concrete broken in numerous locations, walls inside the house in very bad shape, VERY dirt homes inside, hoarders, all appliances needing replacing, most A/C units needed replacing, many roofs needed replacing, bad window seals, over priced homes, drainage issues, water heaters that needed replacing, and the list goes on.
We really wanted to live here, but we just could not find a home that didn't need extensive upgrades and/or repairs. We were not interested in buying a money pit.
Got chance to meet a group for dinner here and ended up getting the full tour! It is a beautiful community and the views from the clubhouse are amazing. If I were 55+ and lived in Dallas I would live here in a heart beat!
