Horizons at Barnegat

Moved here in April 2018, love it! The residents in this beautiful community are so welcoming. There are enough activities to keep you busy if you chose. We have several wonderful friends and have attending many events. We are very happy here!

Small community that could be better. The Homeowners Association condones neighbors "telling on" each other so you will have the usual run-ins with the Association if you do not adhere to all the rules and regulations in the community. One homeowner was not allowed to let his granddaughter live with him for the last 6 months of the school year so she could finish her schooling in her home school since her parents had to relocate. Another homeowner has one neighbor who has asked the board to force the owner to remove two animals from the home since she has 4 and the rules state only two are allowed. Very animal unfriendly. This same neighbor has video cameras set up in his yard and calls the police if you trespass on there property. The police claim this is all perfectly legal taking pictures of people with out there permission. So if you adhere to all rules and there are a lot and don't run into the animal unfriend husband and wife team who love taking pictures this might be the place for you.

This is a nice little community of single story homes but without all the pressure to use a bunch of amenities. We already have enough going on in our lives with family, friends and travel so we don't need all those extra things. Even so, we are social and have met a few great friends here that we get together with for dinners and bbqs. We're happy with our house here and enjoy spending our time doing things outside the community, the area itself has a lot to offer.
