Around Judiciary Square
Housing options are very limited in Judiciary Square, as most of the buildings comprising the neighborhood are local and federal government buildings. The offerings available in Judiciary Square are a handful of high-end apartments located mainly on H Street NW between 5th and 6th Streets.
Since the neighborhood is mostly occupied by federal courthouses or office buildings, most of the dining here is restricted to lunch spots (many of them housed within those buildings) and fast-food places. Residents would need to head outside the neighborhood for more food options. The nearby Newseum, however, hosts a Wolfgang Puck restaurant.
You'll mostly see government and office workers milling about the 9-to-5-centric neighborhood, mixed in with tourists heading to the National Building Museum, the Newseum, or Judiciary Park.
Have dinner at the Newseum and take a stroll past the other museums in the area. From there you can easily head to other destinations in the city via the Metro's Judiciary Square Red Line station.
Once the 9-to-5ers have left, Judiciary Square is quiet on the weekends. Visit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Judiciary Park, which honors fallen police officers. From there you can head to the National Building Museum, Newseum, the Mall, and any of the Smithsonian museums.
