Kirkwood is bordered by DeKalb Avenue to the north and Memorial Drive and I-20 to the south. The East Lake Transit Station and Edgewood-Candler Park Station are located on DeKalb Avenue, providing access to the green and blue lines and connecting the neighborhood with downtown Atlanta. Most of the main streets in the neighborhood, including Memorial Drive, Moreland Avenue, Mayson Avenue, and Hosea L Williams Drive are home to bus stops that connect with nearby stations, neighboring areas and downtown Atlanta. The Eastside Greenway and the PATH Foundation’s Trolley Trail connect the neighborhood and allow easy commuting for bikers and walkers.
