The neighborhood is only a few blocks wide at its smallest points and even toward the southern end, only something like 15 blocks. White Plains Road cuts through the middle of the neighborhood and acts as the commerce hub. Residents tend to opt for homes on the sidestreets. The backdrop of Bronx Park gives the neighborhood a natural beauty. Recently, The Yemeni American Day Parade has been a local favorite and perhaps the best time to visit Little Yemen.

Start the night with generous portions at Arth Alsaeedah before making your way to Lotus Hookah Lounge. If you’re in the mood for something more upbeat, try Belmont. If you’re looking for a more formal dining option, travel north to Pelham Parkway.
Begin your Sunday with breakfast from Conti's Pastry Shoppe, an institution with long lines on the weekend, unless you arrive right at opening. Enjoy a walk through Bronx Park and view all of its natural beauty. Explore the wildlife at The Bronx Zoo, or hop on a bus to The New York Botanical Garden.
Little Yemen relies heavily on the 5 train that stops near Bronx Park. Commuting by subway to Grand Central Station, for example, takes about 50 minutes. The drive to LaGuardia Airport is an impressive 30 minutes with minimal traffic. Thanks to the size of the neighborhood, completing errands on foot is realistic and enjoyable. Local buses service the area and surrounding parts of the Bronx, as well.
