Around Midtown Manhattan
Midtown Manhattan offers mostly luxury condos and high-rise apartment buildings. Midtown West allows for a beautiful view of the Hudson River. It also puts residents closer to the Lincoln Tunnel, granting easy travel for a weekend getaway to New Jersey. Moving to Midtown South puts residents in the heart of the city, surrounded by landmarks like Penn Station, the Chrysler Building, Madison Square Garden, and the Empire State Building. Midtown East offers a similar lifestyle where you’ll find yourself among the commuters of Grand Central Station and by the famed Diamond District. This part of the neighborhood offers a more busy lifestyle than the quiet rhythm of Midtown West.
Once in Midtown Manhattan, you’ll have a multitude of dining choices scattered throughout the area. Near the Museum of Modern Art, enjoy a high-end seafood extravaganza at Eric Ripert’s Le Bernardin or dig into delicious dim sum at Hutong New York City, which is right off of Lexington Avenue. Of course, you can’t escape the city without getting a slice of New York’s famous pizza at Joe’s Pizza that’s right on Broadway and 40th.
Midtown Manhattan is a vibrant neighborhood that has much to offer any day of the week. You’ll have access to some of the best theaters in the world within the Theater District, such as the Richard Rodgers Theater where you can catch “Hamilton” live. Take a tour of the massive air carrier at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, or enjoy the lively street performers in Times Square. You can also get a chance to be an audience member of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” at the Rockefeller Center.
Catch the game and enjoy a beer at The Playwright Irish Pub or a concert at The Cutting Room. For a classy bar experience, visit Tanner Smith’s, which is a popular speakeasy cocktail bar that makes unique craft cocktails and offers a late-night food menu. If the weather permits, enjoy watching a classic film at an outdoor screening at Bryant Park.
Start your Sunday with brunch at Butter Midtown and then walk up Broadway and shop at all the stores on 5th Avenue. You’ll then find yourself at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, built in 1879 and features some beautiful neo-gothic architecture. Nearby, go to the top floor of the Top of the Rock and enjoy a view of the whole city. The Museum of Modern Art is another great option where you can view popular art exhibits from Andy Warhol, Rita Ackerman, Marina Abramović, and many more.
Midtown Manhattan has plenty of public transit options. The 1,2,3 4,5,6,B,D,F,M,N,Q,R,A,C,E trains all go directly to Midtown Manhattan.
