A full-service H-E-B grocery store and a number of retail services are also within five blocks. Public schools are part of the Austin Independent School District. Maplewood, Blanton, Pecan Springs, Lee, Sims and Ridgetop are the closest elementary schools to Mueller. Middle schools nearby are the Sadler Means Young Women’s Leadership Academy and the Garcia Young Men’s Leadership Academy. Reagan High School is the closest high school.
There are quite a few activities going on in and near Mueller. Tennis players of all ages and skill levels have the Pharr Tennis Center at Patterson Public Park which is directly across from Mueller’s Lake Park. Bartholomew District Park, on the community’s northern boundary, is home to the Delwood Sports Complex which hosts youth baseball, softball and soccer leagues. Getting into or staying in shape is easy as there are several gyms in Town Center District or very close-by. Mueller has a very robust events schedule. Residents have a wide array of concerts and other types of live performances to choose from at Mueller’s own amphitheater. Pop-up craft shops, street fairs and farmers’ markets are common, as well as movie nights in the park, 5K runs and seasonal festivals. Mueller’s open air market brings in a steady stream of food trucks, so there’s always fun new foods to try.
