Ethel W. Staton Elementary School

Education was our biggest concern when moving to Las Vegas from California. We researched all of the options and ended up moving to Summerlin because of everything we learned about Staton. I can happily say we have no regrets about that decision! Our daughter attended 1st grade all the way through 5th grade and it was a wonderful experience all along the way. The school is very academically focused but also stresses the importance of being a good person and teaches those attributes. I can't say enough good things about this school. We're so excited to enroll our son next year and do it all over again!

If you're outside of the bell curve, you're not going to be supported. My daughter was gifted and not helped and there was a non-verbal autistic child in her class that only had a teacher's aide to help him a couple afternoons a week.

My daughter attended Kindergarten here, and is now in First Grade. Both of her teachers have been tremendous. She has excelled beyond my expectations and we couldn’t be more pleased with the school. The PTA, the Specials teachers, and all the Aides and staff have all contributed to make this school exceptional.

It was wonderful until the new principal came along and started changing things around
