My child is in NEST program, and we are very happy with the progress. Even though his teachers are not good at communicating with parents, but I can see a positive transforming in my child. It's a small school, and seems warm and welcome. My child loves the science teacher, and I wish there were more science classes than just once a week. The staff are not so well organized with relaxed attitude, which sometimes it's frustrating to interact with them. But once I see how my child is happy to be at the program, I have to take a step back!

The school was OK. My kids had transferred in from another school. For educational purposes they are pretty good. However, everything else is VERY disorganized. The first day my children had not been registered even though the paperwork was done on my behalf months ago. They don't let you know any information such as who is your child's teacher or speak with anyone until the 1st day of school. In my opinion, I didn't feel comfortable with how they addressed my needs as a parent especially that everything was new to me. Moreover, they no longer have free after-school. It now cost an arm and a leg if you need full-time afterschool services and there are barely any other afterschool services in the neighborhood - options are limited. I transferred my children back to the school that they were in and I am happy with my decision.

My kid goes to preK i live on upper east side and go all the way from 81st street to 14th and do not regret. My daughter's teacher MS TORRES has to be the most experienced teacher. My daughter has learnt so much from her. Love the fact her class is so diverse ethnicity wise. They work very hard preparing kids for K. It is very safe place they will not allow a pre K kid leave until they see a card provided by them. Principal parent coordinator teachers very friendly and welcoming. GREAT EXPERIENCE

I disagree with the teachers comment because perhaps they say that the school is safer but that is not the truth. If a child gets hurt in the school they down play it and say it was a mistake. This is how the principal along with the teachers play games. They never tell you what is learned in the classroom. They have a weird way of showing concern. My child attended this school and this year it is time to leave! The principal should address the safety of the school and she does not. My child got hurt multiple times which caused his grades to go down!
