I created lifetime friends from this school. The life lessons learned you take forever. It was located right across the street from where I live, so it was great walking to school. The school wasn't perfect but the teachers in the school did make a difference. The only thing that was not good about this school was the substitutes, who didn't care about the students or being there to help. The classes were crowded I hope it's not like that any more. The teachers who have been there the longest are the ones who cares about the students the most.

If I could put a 0 for this school I will. But I have to put 1 star. All I can say is that if you're a parent that cares, DONT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE! The school is bad PERIOD! Do your research. Academically, administrative, and professionalism this school lacks big time

My school is P.S. 34. I am a product of P.S. 34 and due to the caring and wonderful teachers (one in particular who is no longer there) I was able to attend an elite private school after graduating from P.S. 34. While this was many moons ago and my teachers have long since retired, the teachers and principal who are there now do an outstanding job as well. My son is now attending P.S. 34 and is doing magnificently. The parent involvement is strong and the teachers listen to us and welcome our input. I would, however, like to see an academically stronger after-care program. My son is very intelligent and I don't feel the program is influencing advancement. The children need to be encouraged to do more in order to prepare them for state exams and such which my son will be taking now in the third grade. I will however emphasize the fact that the teachers and principal do their very best to make sure each child is meeting the goals set forth for them. It was my son"s first year there last year and they made sure his transition was the smoothest possible. They quickly addressed any issues I had and i felt comfortable and confident. Good job, P.S. 34!

this school has amazing, caring teachers i graduate this year, and higly recommend this school to your child. it teaches your child to be more outgoing. one thing you shold know is that the sports program is at a slump, right now there is only basketball for the boys 6-8. when i was in 6 and 7th grade there was volleyball for the girls but now nothing
