Oakleigh Manor's best amenity is its location. Just outside its entrance are several grocery stores, banks, and a number of fast-food restaurants. Two movie theaters and a plethora of major retailers are less than a 10-minute drive away. Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is 30 minutes from the community and Downtown Atlanta is about a 45-minute trip. Children living in Oakleigh Manor attend the Fayette County School District. The district has six National Blue Ribbon winners and many awards from the state. Two amphitheaters, the Frederick Brown Jr (aka "The Fred") Amphitheater in Peachtree City, and the Southern Grand Amphitheater in Fayetteville bring in local and national music acts year-round. Fayetteville presents farmers markets and seasonal celebrations at various locations in town and in its historic downtown area.
