Tucked Away Hidden Gem

This area of the Northwest Side has all the charm of Avondale or Lakeview without the price or congestion. All types of restaurants nearby, including; Polish, Italian, Thai, Greek, Czech, Ukrainian, German, Cuban, Salvadoran, Columbian and Mexican. Nestled right in the middle of this neighborhood is Shabonna Park with 18.83 acres of outdoor space, a large indoor pool and lots of kids activities run by the park district. If you are looking to stay in the city, Schorsch Village is a great option. Parking is plentiful, you can actually have guests over and entertain. Instead of a 3 square foot balcony, you'll have a backyard for your kids and family pet. Des Plaines River Trail that runs all the way to Wisconsin, is nearby. Plenty shopping at the HIP (Harlem Irving Plaza) and Brickyard. There is an Art Van Furniture in Harwood Heights as well. Relatively manageable commute downtown via Addison 152 to Blue Line stop.
