Bastrop’s quaint downtown features landmarked homes dating back to the 1800s, along with historic displays at the Bastrop County Museum and Visitor Center. Local business owners maintain an array of cafes, comfort-food eateries, clothing and accessory boutiques, beer bars, salons, galleries, and much more. School-aged kids living at Tahitian Village will be educated by the Bastrop Independent School District, a public system encompassing 15 schools from elementary through high school. The Bastrop ISD’s four-year graduation rates are quite high. Tahitian Village’s on-site amenities include a central clubhouse offering a fitness center and a full-service restaurant, 9 tennis courts and a tennis pro shop, a complex network of hiking and biking trails, and plenty of kayaking and rafting opportunities on the Colorado River.
