The commercial center of The Woodlands is Hughes Landing, featuring a Whole Foods Market, hotel, restaurants, and several retail options. Located around a pond, homeowners can also enjoy pleasant strolls around Hughes Landing. There is also a shopping mall, an outdoor pavilion, and a central park with several additional stores and even a movie theater. The Woodlands has over 30 educational institutions, ranging from elementary schools to a university, and just as many worship centers. There are also lakes and tributaries that run throughout the community, giving it a very scenic quality. The Woodlands is divided into separate villages, each having their own town center with amenities. These range from shopping centers to recreational facilities to parks. Families also love the aquatic center complete with splash park. There are also seven golf courses that combine for a total of 135 holes. Famous architects have left their mark on these courses, including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Tom Fazio.
