Close to city, not too pricey

Ariel A
Tri-Taylor is a nice, very tiny neighborhood that's very convenient for commuting to the city. By bus and blue-line (and bike) it's approximately 15-20 minutes to the loop. The prices aren't bad either. There are some nice parks (including a popular dog park) in the area, though not much to do otherwise insofar as restaurants or night life. Most streets are very quiet and pleasant, as there are a bunch of cul de sacs, though some homes closer to the more major streets (such as Western) can be kind of noisy. This is a fantastic neighborhood if you work at one of the nearby hospitals in the medical district, and pretty good if you work in the loop. And quick access to the 290 opens up lots of other commute possibilities as well. There are decent shopping options not too far, including a great grocery store (Pete's) and Target.
