The Rusk School

My son moved from a small private school to Rusk in 6th grade. It was an easy transition for him because of the small class sizes, teachers who truly care about the academics they are teaching my son and the administration that supports the academic learning environment.

Not all but some of the teachers do seem to care and do follow up with the parents if their children are falling behind. I think this is very good and I would encourage all teachers to do the same.

My children started in this school 2014~2015 and they did great. The teachers have great communication with the parents. If anything is going on you will be notified whether it's good or bad. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This school has been through many changes, new principal for 2012/2013, termination of several staff positions, mainly due to budget cuts they say. Staff was friendly in years gone by but now seem stressed & unfriendly. They say they offer Robotics but kids say no, at least not yet! Renovations promised since 2007 not yet started. And please don't park in front of the school because the meter maid is ticket happy!
