Moving from Round Rock, which has awesome rated schools to Taylor I was worried because of the ratings. But after the first weeks all my fears were gone. The teachers care about their students and more importantly Mr. Brown, the Superintendent, really cares about everyone being treated equally. My daughter almost runs out the door ready to get to school. I couldn't be happier to have left Round Rock for such a great community.

Having left Austin behind happily, I enrolled my children in Taylor schools. We have kiddos at Pasemann, Main Street, and Middle. In all instances, the teachers and administration have been superb. Two of my children have chronic illness and needs medicine throughout the day, and the staff has been very accomodating and on top of it. The old school standard of discipline and rewards is a welcome change from feel good, everyone is a star, everyone can do no wrong "standards" of Austin public and Austin charter schools. Thrilled to be here.

This school needs lots of help. There are some really caring teachers there but there are a lot that need to just retire. There are teachers there that call cps just because they think a child did not take their ADHD meds. The most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. They have a major issue with bullies and none of the staff seem to really believe the kids when they try to do the right thing and tell. I have 3 kids that go there and with the new year coming up none of them are looking forward to returning. Also, if you are looking for a good special ed program this is not the district for it.

I chose to relocate to Taylor from Richardson,Tx over the summer so that I could be in a small town in the central Tx area. I heard this school was bad, but I thought no...can't be that bad. Well today was the first day of school and it was indeed that bad. Teachers standing around just yapping to one another not trying to assist parents. Un-organized. Just utter chaos. Taylor needs to give its taxpayers a refund for stupidly selling them on the idea of building one elementary school for this town. Twelve 2nd grade classes in this school?? Come on.... I took my kid to school and debated the entire day if the school was worth it. We are bailing. Taylor only has this one elementary school, so if you are thinking about moving to this town, re-think it. I would say bypass it. It's just a bad design of a school. It doesn't seem like it's ran well either. I had a short conversation with the principal, and it sounded to me as if she discouraged parental involvement in favor of hoping to divert more effort to control the chaos. Taylor needs at least two more elementary schools. What a waste of taxpayer money/bond money. Three ladies in the front office are helpful though.
