Around Villages Of Hidden Lake
Residents of Hidden Lake beat the Texas heat by cooling off in their resort-style pool. Children can enjoy their own splash pad, and there's a lot of room on the patio deck for sunbathing and socializing. A playground and a basketball court are just steps away, as well. Walking trails that wind through the community are great for early morning or evening strolls. Lake Pflugerville Park is connected to the Villages of Hidden Lake by way of a walking trail. Visitors can rent paddleboats and kayaks for a fun day on the lake. Fishing is also allowed, either from non-motorized boats or from one of four fishing piers. The park has massive open spaces and a pavilion for picnicking and outdoor play. Pflugerville Independent School District has several schools nearby, including Murchison Elementary, Cele Middle School, Weiss High School, and Hendrickson High School. All of these schools are conveniently located just a few minutes from the community.
The Villages of Hidden Lake homeowner's association schedules a number of fun events throughout the year. Pool parties and poker nights typically happen monthly. Community garage sales are held twice a year. Holiday events are popular and a great opportunity to meet neighbors and friends. The city of Pflugerville has a ton of "pfun" things to do. There's the Pfreeze Pflop into an unheated public pool on New Year's Day, as well as Deutschen Pfest, which celebrates local German heritage. During the summer, there are concerts in Pfluger Park and the monthly Pfarmer's Market. In the fall, there's a craft show and chili festival, and the local library hosts its very own comic con.
